SKUSA Winter Series 2026: Rounds 1 & 2 at Speedsportz

The 2026 Superkarts! USA Winter Series opened at Speedsportz Racing Park in New Caney, Texas, with over 230 entries for Rounds 1 and 2. Sunday (Round 2) ran in clear, cold-then-warm conditions—qualifying, Prefinal, and Final across Pro X30, Pro Shifter, KA100 Senior/Junior/Master, X30 Junior, Mini Swift, and Micro Swift. Sunday Round 2 winners

  • Pro X30 — Pauly Massimino (BJR / LN Kart): first career SKUSA Winter Series win; held off Blake Nash on the last lap. Oliver Hodgson second, Gus Lawrence third.
  • Pro Shifter — Gavin Bayliff (TKG Birelart USA): second win in three races at Speedsportz; took the lead from Billy Musgrave at turn 8 on lap 18. Musgrave second, Jay Urwin third.
  • KA100 Senior — Collin Lloyd (Velocity / Sodi Kart): first win in the class since 2023; led 19 of 20 laps. Sebastian Garzon second, Mateo Rubio Luengo third.
  • X30 Junior — Travis Pettit (RPG / Kosmic): sweep on the day; last-lap outside pass on Nathan Golseth in turn 1 for his first Winter Series win in the category. Golseth second, Royce Vega third.
  • KA100 Junior — Tyrone Kemper Jr. (Hi5 / Redspeed): first career win; promoted to first after contact penalties. Golseth second, Pettit third.
  • KA100 Master — Brian Boly (RPG / Kosmic): double win on the weekend; last-lap pass on Mario Barrios. Barrios second, Trevor McAlister third.
  • Mini Swift — Zev Godschalk (Team Benik): promoted to winner in his Mini Swift debut after Mason Brody's DQ (spark plug). Jake Manalio second, Dutch Westbrook third.
  • Micro Swift — Jack Kotowski (TKG Birelart USA): weekend sweep on his ninth birthday; pulled away to a 15-second margin in the Final. Tristan Francisco second, Dusty Strayer third.
